Shy Watson is a PhD candidate in Creative Writing & Literature at the University of Southern California. She has authored two full-length poetry collections: Horror Vacui (House of Vlad) and Cheap Yellow (Civil Coping Mechanisms). Her fiction appears in Volume 0, Post Road, Southwest Review, Fence, Joyland, and elsewhere. She earned her MFA from the University of Montana in 2023 and has since received support from Monson Arts and Lighthouse Works.
